Training Talent Acquisition Specialist

Reports To: Global Training & Delivery Resources Manager (dotted line to Delivery Head – India & APAC Region)

Position Overview

The Training Talent Acquisition Specialist is a specialist role within the Training and Delivery Services area, focused on identifying, attracting, and onboarding high-quality vendors, freelance trainers, and subject-matter-experts (SMEs). This position supports Global training and delivery resources and is responsible for the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for freelance training talent and vendors – from sourcing and pipeline management through contracting and ongoing relationship management.

The position is based in India and provides support across the APAC region and other global areas as required.

Key Responsibilities

Training Talent Acquisition Specialist

• Own the full-cycle recruitment process for freelance trainers and vendors across all relevant disciplines
• Proactively source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, professional networks, training communities, and referrals
• Screen, interview, and assess trainer/SME candidates against project requirements and quality standards
• Build and maintain a pipeline of pre-vetted trainer talent
• Analyze upcoming project needs and match trainer availability and expertise accordingly
• Assist Client Success team and other teams within LearnQuest with preparation of matching profiles for the clients

Onboarding & Enablement

• Schedule and coordinate trainer/SME and vendor onboarding calls and enablement sessions
• Guide new trainers through the onboarding process, ensuring completion of required documentation and compliance steps
• Maintain onboarding trackers and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding items

Vendor & Relationship Management

• Serve as the point of contact for clarification, concerns and escalations from vendors, trainers and SMEs fostering strong working relationships
• Acknowledge concerns quickly, to build confidence and reduce potential frustrations
• Build and manage relationships with vendors, instructors/SMEs
• Communicate effectively with vendors, instructors/SMEs, and internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather information, ensure alignment, and provide timely, accurate responses back to stakeholders
• Monitor vendor performance against defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Support contracting processes

Operations & Process Improvement

• Maintain and update the instructor/SME and vendor database to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Create, maintain, and continuously improve operations guides and recruitment processes
• Monitor and track project status and provide regular status updates
• Recommend solutions to improve efficiency, reduce costs, meet targets, and increase client satisfaction
• Support the Global MLS Team and take on other projects as assigned

Skills Required

• Strong recruiting skills with the ability to identify and attract top talent
• Experience recruiting IT professionals is a must
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills — comfortable working with vendors and trainers/SMEs globally
• Ability to manage multiple recruitment pipelines simultaneously and prioritize effectively
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proactive problem-solver with the ability to work independently
• Fast learner, adaptable to new tools and processes

Preferred Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or sourcing — ideally within a training, L&D, or professional IT services environment
• Background in IT, Training, Education, or a related field preferred
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) or vendor management databases
• Experience with systems and/or information technology is a plus

Education Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, Learning Solutions, IT, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
