We’re a content marketing agency that builds media arms for successful Founder-led businesses — helping them create content that builds their legacy. Our mission: to amplify the voices of women in business to match the realities of gender in entrepreneurship.
We work across three pillars — Voice, Platform, and Legacy — from shaping a Founder‘s narrative, to building their media home, to designing content that compounds over time. Our retainer tiers run from Foundation (one long-form, two short-form monthly) to Presence (two long-form, four short-form biweekly) to Media Arm (four long-form, eight short-form weekly). We’re a fully remote organization with 5 (soon to be 6 👋) teammates, including our Founder, Chief Content Officer/Operations Officer, two part-time Writers, and a part-time Admin. We’re headquartered in southeastern Michigan, with teammates spread across Iowa, upstate New York, and Texas.

About the Role
We’re looking for a remote Video Podcast Editor to own the editing function across our client podcasts and social content — bringing a marketer’s eye and a storyteller’s instincts to every piece of content that leaves our hands.
In this role, you’ll edit long-form video podcast episodes and short-form social clips for a roster of high-achieving women founders, working from creative briefs developed by our Chief Content Officer. You’ll balance technical precision with editorial judgment: finding the narrative thread in an episode, pulling the most magnetic moment for a reel, and always keeping the audience and marketing objective in view.

Our IDEAL CANDIDATE brings 3–5 years of experience in roles like Video Editor, Video Podcast Editor, Multimedia Editor, Content Producer, or related content production roles. You have strong technical chops in Premiere Pro and a marketer’s instinct for what makes content land — you understand why you’re picking a clip, not just how to cut it. You think in hooks and through-lines. You have taste — you know what good looks like, and it shows without anyone having to tell you. You don’t need to be managed; you need to be briefed. You’re comfortable in a growing operation where not everything is figured out yet, and you bring a steady, solutions-oriented presence to the work. And this part matters: you’re genuinely energized by amplifying women’s voices in business.
Performance Metrics: Your performance will be measured by revision count (the goal is one or fewer per deliverable, trending toward zero), brief comprehension and proactive communication, on-time delivery, and the quality of your editorial and marketing instincts as reflected in feedback.
Reporting Structure: You’ll work closely with our Chief Content Officer/Operations Officer and clients. This position reports directly to the Chief Content Officer/Operations Officer.
You’ll be doing things like:
- Long-Form Podcast Editing: Downloading raw recordings from Riverside; importing and editing in Premiere Pro; mixing and balancing audio; cutting filler words, verbal tics, and nonverbal pauses; following the creative brief for episode structure and narrative arc; executing sound design and color grading; incorporating ads or sponsor reads as directed; managing internal revision cycles; exporting final files for client review.
- Social Clip Editing: Reviewing the creative brief for hook direction; identifying the single most impactful, emotionally charged moment from an episode; editing 60-second-or-under clips following the hook + enticing moment + cliffhanger format; adding motion graphics and captions; producing two clips per episode at the retainer cadence.
- Short-Form Promotional Content: Editing sizzle reels, bumpers, and “coming soon” trailers with motion graphics; formatting for multiple aspect ratios (16:9 for YouTube, 9:16 for vertical social).
- Brand Management: Learning and applying each client’s brand guidelines, tone, and visual identity across all deliverables; maintaining consistency across episodes, clips, and promotional content.
- Coverage & Backfill: Stepping into long-form or short-form editing as needed; maintaining delivery continuity so no client deadline is ever at risk.
- File Management & Admin: Following file naming conventions and folder structures; templating LUTs, sequences, and branded asset files for coverage continuity; documenting and contributing to SOPs; flagging process improvements as you identify them.
Skills & Qualifications
- 3–5 years of prior experience in roles like Video Editor, Video Podcast Editor, Multimedia Editor, Content Producer, or related
- Proficiency in Premiere Pro across full edit-to-export workflows
- Strong audio editing: mixing, balancing, filler word removal, and sound design
- Color grading experience
- Basic motion graphics: simple animations, lower-thirds, and branded sequences
- Strong command of American English for accurate captioning
- A marketer’s instinct: you understand the purpose behind content and edit to serve it
- Narrative judgment: you can find the through-line in an episode and structure an edit around it
- Critical thinking: you can assess whether an episode makes sense as delivered and flag issues before you start
- Proactive communicator: questions asked before starting, not after a revision
- Organized: consistent file naming, digital hygiene, and asset management
Bonus if you also have:
- Advanced motion graphics skills (After Effects, complex animations, dynamic templates)
- Experience editing for thought leadership, female founder, or professional services brands
- Experience editing content with audience conversion or sales psychology in mind
- Familiarity with our tools: Riverside, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Google Drive, Slack
Position Details
Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours/week), Exclusivity Preferred
Working Hours: Minimum 4 hours of daily overlap between 9AM–1PM ET; remaining hours async. Adjusts with Daylight Saving Time.
Education: No formal degree required; relevant work experience is what counts
Level: Intermediate (3–5 years of relevant work experience)
Compensation: ~USD $773–$913 (INR 72K–85K) per month, based on experience. Structured as a Consultant Agreement (independent contractor), meaning you’ll be responsible for your own taxes, benefits, and insurance.
