Role: Windows VMware Admin

Roles & responsibilities
The desired candidate will serve as L2+ admin, who will help us support the remote enterprise DC offshore.
• Provide technical support, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting as necessary to keep DC infrastructure up and running.
• Manage Infrastructure from build to decommission
• Build/patch/upgrade/install /migrate/decommission Servers / applications on need bases.
• Handle alerts/incidents/work orders/change request/problem records/ticket analysis/RCA as a part of support team
• Work in synergy with other support teams to keep the environment up and running.
• You should be able to help users with their day-to-day problems and project needs.
• Should be able to work under pressure and capable of managing major incidents and complex change requests.
• Windows / VMware ESxi servers Administration & Software Installations
• Support for AD, DNS, and DHCP, etc.
• Able to perform servers Build, Manage, Restore, Retire etc for both Physical and VM & Physical to Virtual migrations.
• File Server, Print Servers – Management & Migration.
• Troubleshoot issues related to users, capacity, compute and patches.
• Vendor coordination for service calls and escalated matters.
• Performing Restore Activities – BMR, IBB, PPDM & File and Folders.
• Perform patch management using Symantec Tools – Altiris
• Administer, manage and maintain vCenter
• vSphere systems administration and support including VMotion, HA, DRS, VDS, Affinity rules, vCenter, storage migrations, and P2V migrations
• Must have extensive knowledge of SAN storage and be able to present storage to ESX hosts and Windows Servers
• troubleshoot converged and hyper-converged infrastructure related incidents
• Automation, compliance, and cloud migration involvement.
• Experience managing Azure Hybrid Join, Azure AD Connect, Entra ID Sync.
• Knowledge of Azure Arc for hybrid server governance.
• Hands‑on experience with CrowdStrike for endpoint protection, threat hunting, and remediation.
• Experience using Splunk for event correlation, log management, and security analytics.
• Ability to create searches, dashboards, alerts, and reports in Splunk.
• Troubleshooting Windows/VMware issues using Splunk logs (AD, DNS, vCenter, ESXi logs).
• Working knowledge of EC2 instance management, AMIs, EBS storage, and security groups.
• Experience with AWS Systems Manager (SSM) for patching, automation, and hybrid server management.
• Familiarity with AWS IAM, identity policies, and least-privilege access.
2 Must Have Skills
• 5+ years IT industry experience and 3-5 years of relevant experience from specified domain,
• Sound Technical knowledge of Domain specified
• Good communication Skills
• Should have flair of working on latest and greatest technologies and automate day-to-day tasks to reduce efforts.
• Experience working enterprise tools for monitoring, ticketing, security and systems management like HP OV, CMDB, Service Now, CyberArk, Satellite Patching, Altiris, Ansible etc.
• Should comply with security standards.
• Open for rotating 24×7 shifts for production environment support and going on call.
3 Good to Have
• Knowledge of managing an enterprise level DC and managing its
security standards.
• Prior experience of working for US and UK based customers
• Good analytical skills for Production support
• Professional commitment to high quality, and a passion for learning new skills.
• Detail-oriented individual with good analytical skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including providing simple solutions to complex situations.
• Must be a strong team player with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in a geographically disperse working environment
• Good Communication skills to handle major incident calls and releases.
• Hands-on technical experience and a can-do approach towards environmental management, automation and continuous improvement.
• Should be good with analytics and presentations
