Reporting to the Business Partnerships Team Leader for APAC, this is a highly visible & integral role within Global Business Partnerships (GBP), which generates revenue through working with internal stakeholders and suppliers to optimize supplier engagement and drive value to Amex GBT Customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of a portfolio of suppliers across Asia Pacific, driving business planning & development activities and value delivery execution.

This is a multifaceted role encompassing of supplier partnerships and working with multiple business stakeholders on business development and other key supplier relations initiatives.

What You’ll Do

• The business development role develops relationships with a specific focus on strategic supplier partnerships and executing business development activities
• Manage the delivery of the supplier value proposition, building strategies to support negotiations in close collaboration with the Supplier Management Team
• Drive Increased Revenue: identify, sell, and drive execution of additional supplier revenue opportunities
• Negotiate supplier participation/sponsorship in key events and to deliver media revenues in close collaboration with the Amex GBT digital marketing team
• Collaborate cross functionally and cross regionally with Traveler Care, Client Management, Sales, Revenue Management, Meetings & Events, Consulting to align strategies, drive engagement and optimize results
• Monitor travel industry landscape and ensure Amex GBT & Supplier Revenue partnerships are best positioned to capitalize on any opportunities that deliver revenue to Amex GBT & deliver customer value.

What We’re Looking For

• Consultative selling & negotiation skills, ability to demonstrate that you can work with suppliers to interact on data driven opportunities that will allow Amex GBT and the supplier to grow sales volumes
• Skilled project manager. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and drive results on time and on plan across the suppliers & internal stakeholders at Amex GBT
• Formidable team player and influencer. Gains buy-in and engagement (internally and externally) through collaboration and strong stakeholder management skills.
• High degree of analytical acumen with a commercial mind set with proven ability to translate data into conclusions and actionable recommendations with suppliers.
• Intuitive understanding of technology – GDS, Point of Sale tools, online booking tools
• Strong oral and written communications skills including aptitude for formal presentations.
• Excellent relationship building, collaboration and influencing skills at all levels.
• A thorough understanding and knowledge of the travel and/or travel supplier industry highly desirable
• Excellent Power BI, Power Point and excel skills
• Outcome orientated with proven record of accomplishment in driving best in class results
• Persevere in the face of adversity, always seeking to make the best of any given situation
