Application Support Engineer – IT Managed Services Full Time NEW

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Support Engineer to join the Software Engineering team supporting the Managed Service ITMS project. The role involves working in a high-availability environment for a leading telecommunications client, ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of critical business applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a primary point of contact for application support and incident resolution across multiple critical systems.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve complex application and system issues.
• Monitor and analyze system performance, proactively identifying areas for improvement and risk mitigation.
• Develop and implement structured troubleshooting frameworks and remediation strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, infrastructure, operations) to enhance system stability and service delivery.
• Ensure timely resolution of incidents in line with SLA and service management standards.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including knowledge base articles and standard operating procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members, promoting best practices in application support.
• Contribute to team-level and cross-team decision-making for issue resolution and service improvements.

Required Skills & Expertise

• Experience Required: 3-7 years in Application Support / Production Support / Managed Services environment
• Expert-level experience in IT Troubleshooting (mandatory)
• Strong experience in Application Support / Engineering Support environments
• Proven expertise in Application Remediation and incident management
• Ability to handle multi-system environments and critical production issues
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience working in managed services / support-driven environments

Preferred Competencies

• Experience working with telecom or large-scale enterprise systems
• Exposure to IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL)
• Ability to work in high-pressure, SLA-driven environments
• Strong documentation and knowledge-sharing practices
