Job Purpose:The job purpose of a Lead – Cell Maintenance is to manage and oversee the maintenance operations specifically for PERC (Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell) technology, ensure the optimal performance and reliability of PERC solar cells, lead troubleshooting and repair efforts, and implement preventive maintenance strategies to maintain high production quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Safety Compliance:

• Ensure that all maintenance procedures for PERC technology comply with safety standards and protocols, focusing on handling and processing sensitive components like passivation layers.

Innovation

• Driving continuous improvement by leading R&D efforts to develop advanced solar technologies and identifying market trends to maintain a competitive edge.

Digitalization/Data-Driven Decision Making

• Overseeing the implementation of digital tools and smart technologies to optimize manufacturing processes and enhance data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Leadership In Change Management

• Leading effective change management strategies to guide the organization through transitions, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes and technologies.

People Development

• Leading from the front & being accountable for the professional growth of your teams. Developing/conducting/promoting training & learning initiatives to enhance skills & empowering them to take ownership of key processes and decisions.

PERC Technology Management

• Oversee maintenance operations specifically for PERC (Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell) solar cells, focusing on the unique aspects of this technology, such as passivation layers and rear surface treatment.

Issue Diagnosis And Repair

• Address and resolve issues related to PERC cell performance, including troubleshooting problems with passivation layers, rear surface contact, and overall cell efficiency.

Preventive Maintenance

• Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules tailored to the specific needs of PERC cells, such as ensuring the integrity of the passivation layer and rear contacts.

Quality Assurance

• Ensure that maintenance practices uphold the high standards required for PERC cells. Perform detailed inspections to verify the condition of passivation layers and rear surface contacts..

CAPA (Corrective And Preventive Actions)

• Identify and address specific issues affecting PERC cells, such as degradation of passivation layers or rear contact problems, and implement corrective and preventive measures to enhance cell performance.

Team Leadership

• Lead and coordinate the maintenance team in handling PERC cells, providing specific guidance on handling and maintaining passivation and rear contact systems.

Performance Monitoring

• Track performance indicators specific to PERC cells, such as efficiency metrics and degradation rates of passivation layers, to optimize maintenance strategies and improve cell longevity.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Work Experience (Range Of Years)

• 12-14 Years of experience in cell maintenance, with specific experience in PERC technology.
