Bookkeeper/Accountant Fourways Johannesburg
Our client is looking for a bookkeeper/Accountant for a fixed contract period of 3 months which might be extended or go into a permanent position. You need 5 years plus experience you need to be strong in EXCEL. Financial Accounting abilities is an added bonus.
Salary up to R 35000 (This is a Fixed Term contract – must be able to start immediately)
Min Requirements
- Matric plus relevant qualifications
- 5+ years Bookkeeping/Accounting experience
- Candidates with Financial Accountant experience would therefore be advantageous
- Strong in Accounts Payable and payments
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
- Experience with Acumatica is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping duties on an ERP Software system – training to be provided
- Be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records
- Performing reconciliations (cash, credit card, EFT, membership, suppliers, and payment platforms)
- Managing banking and cashbook activities, including month-end processing
- Supporting revenue processes, including reporting, invoicing, and journals
- Handling accounts payable, including payment runs and ageing reviews
- Preparing and capturing invoices
- Investigating and resolving reconciliation queries
- Monitoring unbanked receipts
- Supporting payroll and intercompany accounting
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Assisting with reporting and general finance administration
