Business Development Director (Textiles) – APAC Full Time NEW

For the area of Commercial Textiles and located in Coimbatore region, India, we invite Textiles Business Development experts to submit applications for the role of Business Development Director (Textiles) – APAC.

Purpose & key responsibilities of the role:

The Regional Business Development Director executes the brand, retailer and pull strategy in APAC (excluding China) to win multi-season programs, nominations and standards for Lenzing fibers. The role builds senior relationships, maps category opportunities, converts briefs into structured pipelines and orchestrates go-to-market execution with marketing, sustainability and product teams to generate profitable downstream pull.

• You will execute the regional brand, retailer and fabric mill pull strategy for APAC, including target accounts, categories and growth priorities.
• You will build senior relationships across brands and strategic partners, identify opportunities and convert customer briefs into a qualified pipeline with clear stage gates.
• You will lead and coach BD Manager and coordinate TDS (APAC) to ensure strong execution of regional opportunities.
• You will orchestrate cross-functional go-to-market activities with marketing, sustainability and product teams, and tailor value stories on performance, ESG and traceability to customer needs.
• You will enforce pricing and mix guardrails, track KPIs including program wins, revenue, margin and adoption, and take corrective action where needed.
• You will monitor competitors, category developments and customer moves, and translate insights into targeted regional growth actions.
• You will align demand signals with supply and regional push teams to ensure spinner readiness and effective conversion into recurring business.

Our expectations for this exciting role:

• You hold a University degree in Business, Marketing, Textile Engineering, Materials Science, Sustainability or a related field; additional commercial training or MBA is a plus.
• You have a minimum of 10 years related experience in Business Development within the Textiles industry and are skilled in brand relationship management and partnership building.
• You have strong skills in opportunity mapping, pipeline management, market analysis and value-based selling.
• You are a hands-on Leader, experienced in cross-functional coordination and project management.
• You are an excellent storyteller, who can also convert to deals and secure long term business through disciplined follow up.
• You have strong presentation and communication skills in English at level C1 or more.
• You are prepared to travel intensively within the region.
