Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to work with our software development team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have strong functional expertise with deep knowledge of Core Finance & Accounting as well as Inventory, Supply Chain, and Logistics modules.
This role requires the ability to break down complex ERP functionalities into clear, development-ready features, understand and document inter-module integrations, validate developed modules, and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirement Gathering
● Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand end-to-end business processes across ERP modules
● Analyze and document functional requirements.
● Decompose high-level ERP requirements into detailed features, user stories, workflows, and functional specifications suitable for development
● Ensure functional requirements are complete, consistent, and aligned across modules
ERP Functional Expertise
Core Finance & Accounting
● Provide strong functional expertise in ERP Finance modules including:
o General Ledger (GL)
o Accounts Payable (AP)
o Accounts Receivable (AR)
o Fixed Assets
o Cash & Bank Management
o Financial Close, Reconciliation & Reporting
Inventory, Supply Chain & Logistics
● Demonstrate hands-on knowledge of ERP modules such as:
o Inventory Management
o Procurement & Purchase Orders
o Warehousing
o Supply Chain Management (SCM)
o Logistics, Dispatch & Delivery processes
● Understand stock valuation methods, inventory movements, and operational workflows
ERP Integration & Process Flow
● Define and document end-to-end process flows across multiple ERP modules
● Clearly articulate data and functional integrations between:
o Inventory ↔ Finance
o Procurement ↔ Accounts Payable
o Sales/Logistics ↔ Accounts Receivable
● Validate that inter-module integrations are correctly implemented and aligned with business rules
● Support developers by clarifying integration logic and dependency handling
Development Support
● Act as the functional bridge between business stakeholders and development teams
● Review technical designs and ensure they align with documented functional requirements
● Assist with feature prioritization and phased delivery planning
● Resolve functional queries raised during development
Testing & Validation (UAT)
● Validate developed ERP modules against functional specifications
● Prepare UAT scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria
● Execute and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across multiple ERP modules
● Identify defects, track issues, and coordinate resolution with development teams
● Support final functional sign-off for ERP releases
Required Skills & Qualifications
● 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or ERP Functional Consultant
● Strong expertise in ERP Core Finance & Accounting modules
● Solid working knowledge of Inventory, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Logistics modules
● Proven experience documenting and validating ERP module integrations
● Experience working on ERP development or implementation projects
● Ability to translate business needs into clear, structured functional documentation
● Hands-on experience with UAT planning, execution, and validation
● Understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies
● Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills
Good to Have
● Experience with multiple ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Custom ERPs)
● Accounting or finance background (formal education or practical experience)
● Experience working with distributed or remote development teams
● Prior experience in part-time or contract ERP consulting roles
