Job Summary

Atlassian Skills: you will be administering multiple Jira and Confluence cloud instances. Management includes, but is not limited to application management: space creation and management, end user support, automations, schema enhancements (work types, fields, screens, workflows, permissions), Marketplace Apps, webhooks, and documentation in Confluence as well as org management: directory management (users, groups, service accounts), security settings, API tokens, IP allow lists, data management and other Atlassian organization settings. Experience with writing AI prompts is a must. Experience with Jira Align a plus.

The Developer, Senior designs, builds, maintains and configures applications to ensure business needs are met. Expectation is to specialize in a specific application domain such as web, mobile, client-server or mainframe development, reporting focused on supporting specific business capabilities. The Developer, Senior is responsible for improving data quality within the firm and assisting the business development team in implementing a global, data-led strategy by creating various insight driven visualizations.

Essential Job Functions

• Design and develop – Inspects, analyzes, and translates functional and non-functional requirements into technical design, application code, and configuration parameters. Produces design specifications, including screen layouts, graphical user interfaces, reports and printed outputs developed for self and others. Converts technical design and specifications into functioning components through the development of application code and configuration. Identify areas of tool building prospect to assist the business in making business decisions. Communicate to the end users about the impact and resolutions. Creates and executes unit tests to ensure issues are proactively identified within the software development lifecycle and continuously improve applications and processes with a focus on quality, efficiency, and user experience. Utilize the software development lifecycle to implement technology solutions that create and enhance applications
• Documentation/Reporting- Analyzes code to identify causes of errors and defects. Remediates known errors within development and production support contexts. Reviews application code for self and others. Defines, supports, and enforces code standards and guidelines relevant to the applications and technologies being supported.
• Relationship Management- Provides technical/on-call/user support as defined within team and role expectations. Requests and utilizes feedback to foster personal development. Cultivates relationships across roles and organizations to maximize collaboration, partnership, and efficiency. .Addresses the root cause of data inconsistencies and recommending improvements. Ensure that the business has access to complete and accurate client data to support decision-making. Work successfully with multi location/Global teams.
• Technical Knowledge and Application- Expectation is to be proficient in at least one and ideally two or more programming languages (e.g. COBOL, Java, R, Python, IDQ, Informatica, Archer, .NET, Salesforce, DB2, SQL Server, Micro Strategy, SSRS/SSIS ,Tableau etc.) and develop or maintain at least two applications.
• Business Knowledge and Project Involvement: Demonstrates the ability to work with a high level of autonomy while demonstrating a high level of business knowledge such as general financial services and marketing domains. Complexity of projects, such as technical complexities in the systems and projects, is medium to high as is the criticality of the projects to the business. Strive to influence the team to generate support to achieve desired business outcomes. Monitoring and reviewing data that is entered into the firm’s matter and client relationship management systems, checking for completion and accuracy.

Minimum Qualifications

• Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent technical degree
• Five or more years work experience working in projects adopting Iterative/Agile/Water fall methodologies and proficient with practices. Proficiency in 2 or more programming languages/frameworks/products/Reporting, with hands on development experience in projects. Some experience working with multi location/Global teams. Have experience in Java, Cloud and Saleforce.
